Noel Franklin (story and art) is a Seattle-based performance poet and visual artist with an academic background in fine arts printmaking. Her poetry has garnered a Seattle Arts Commission grant, a Jack Straw Foundation Fellowship and placement on Seattle’s National Poetry Slam team. Her visual art has been exhibited in Seattle, Sacramento and San Francisco. “Arachnophobia” is Franklin’s fifth comics short story, serving as a stop along the way to bringing her graphic novel, Gone Girl, to fruition.
Erin Gilbert (lettering) holds an M.F.A. from Bennington College, teaches at Green River Community College and is currently at work on her first novel. She is a regular contributor to Publishers Weekly and her essays on literature have recently appeared in a variety of publications such as The Rumpus, Bitch Magazine and AGNI online.
