Sara Drake is a Chicago-based cartoonist, writer and educator. She enjoys geodes, quiet moments with quiet people, and aspires to be the first cartoonist at the South Pole.
“Operation Lunch,” Drake’s newest graphic project, is a mosaic of interviews collected over lunch with Khmer Rouge regime survivors spliced with Drake’s experience as a youth worker and museum docent at the Cambodian Association of Illinois.
